BUBANJ HILL CAMP OF THE YOUNG

Within the preparation of the celebration of Saint Day Emperor Constantine and Helen Day, Palilula Municipality in the cooperation with the Office for young of this Municipality and civil sector, organized sport weekend on Bubanj Hill with the title Camp of the young. Boban Dzunic, president of the Municipality of Palilula and PhD Zoran Perisic Mayor of Nis with their associates, visited the participants and organizers of this activity. In spite of the bad weather conditions at the terrains more than 1000 young people gathered. Sport recreation activities, promotion of scouts skills, school of horse riding and other programmes of training for the young people were all organized by the members of the Association of Nis scouts from the scout group Kralj Petar Prvi, Djuka Dinic and OIP Skolski brod Jadran, members of Riding Club Nonius, Academy of Sport, Safari Club Nis with the participation of the pupils from elementary and secondary schools from Palilula.

Mayor of Nis PhD Zoran Perisic, emphasized that these sort of gathering should be more frequent since the possibilities for sport recreation activities that allow location on Bubanj Hill are extremely good and wide range type. President Dzunic is very much agreeing on this one while he was reminding the press that for a few years it has been working intensively on the adaptation of memorial complex Bubanj. Amphitheater was reconstructed, walking paths also, the benches were constructed and also places for rest. President Dzunic announced that there are new plans ahead that could attract people from Nis and tourists to visit this sport recreation complex.
Sport weekend and the camp of the young, apart from recreation and good time spent together , has also humanitarian character, support and help to people in flooded Serbian areas.
